Our Articles of Association and the membership fee regulations dated 25 March 2025 currently stipulate the following membership fees:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Membership for universities and institutions<\/td>200,00 \u20ac<\/td><\/tr>
Supporting membership<\/td>60,00 \u20ac <\/td><\/tr>
Honorary membership<\/td>free of contributions<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>

Full membership<\/span><\/summary>
\n\n

Any female scientist who is or has been active in infection research and related medical, biomedical and clinical disciplines can, as a natural person, become a full member. Full members pay a regular annual fee of \u20ac60. Memberships are primarily for German-speaking countries. Full members have voting rights at general meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Membership during retirement and unemployment<\/span><\/summary>
\n\n

Natural persons who are full members and are already retired or unemployed, or are about to become unemployed, may apply for a reduced annual membership fee of \u20ac20 upon presentation of appropriate proof. They shall continue to have voting rights at the general meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student membership<\/span><\/summary>
\n\n

Students of infection research and related medical, biomedical and clinical disciplines can apply for a reduced annual membership fee of \u20ac10 upon presentation of appropriate proof and are exempt from paying membership fees in their first year. As full members, they are entitled to vote and stand for election at the general meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

University membership<\/span><\/summary>
\n\n

Universities, technical colleges, research institutions and other professional associations can become university or institutional members as legal entities under public or private law if they support the association's objectives. University and institutional members are entitled to vote and stand for election as full members and participate in the general meeting by sending a delegate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supporting membership<\/span><\/summary>
\n\n

Any natural person or legal entity under public or private law may become a supporting member if they support the objectives of the association. Supporting members do not have voting rights or the right to stand for election at the general meeting. Legal entities that are supporting members may send a delegate to the general meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honorary membership<\/span><\/summary>
\n\n

Members or other persons who have rendered outstanding services to the association may be appointed honorary members by the general meeting upon recommendation by the executive committee. Honorary members have no voting rights in the general meeting.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n
