With the relaunch, we are taking the design into our own hands and ensuring independent and sustainable coordination of the Infect-Net network.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent months, Infect-Net has not only continued to grow as a network, but our website has also undergone a comprehensive relaunch. The familiar design has remained the same, but a lot has changed in the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our goal was to further develop <a href=\"http:\/\/infectnet.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">infectnet.org<\/a> technically and structurally so that we could maintain content more flexibly, better represent our community, and integrate new offerings more easily. The entire design and maintenance of the website is now almost entirely done via WordPress. This is an important step towards greater sustainability and independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The colleagues from the homepage team are now taking over the online editorial work, which was previously handled by our project coordinator Ren\u00e9 Lesnik. This makes it easier to search for experts by name, expertise and location. Areas of expertise are now also displayed as keywords on the left-hand side. In addition to a complete overview, the search can be narrowed down to scientists in the fields of epidemiology, immunology, infectiology, microbiology, parasitology or virology. Here you will find an access link to the Klubraum, various files to download and a method search engine to find expert advice or new cooperation partners. Our members receive the password by email and are welcome to make further suggestions for the protected area:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/infectnet.org\/en\/infect-net-intern\/\">Member area log in<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bilingual texts (German \/ English)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Infection research in Germany is, of course, also conducted on an international level. This is finally reflected on the website. The overview pages, navigation and current blog articles are now also available in English via the tab at the top right. The translation of profile entries and older posts will be completed over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>For us, the relaunch is not the end, but rather another step forward. The website will continue to evolve together with Infect-Net. Feedback, comments and ideas are therefore very welcome.
