Save the Date: Infect-Net VII in Würzburg

At the 7th networking meeting on 22nd and 23rd September 2026 we will focus on RNA in infection research

We are pleased to invite all Infect-Net experts and interested parties to our seventh network meeting. We will meet on 22nd and 23rd September at the Institute for Molecular Infection Biology of the University of Würzburg at the Josef-Schneider-Straße 2. The theme will be RNA in infection research.

The meeting will kindly be hosted by Prof. Dr. Franziska Faber and Prof. Dr. Stefanie Kampmeier. Franziska Faber leads the research group „Microbial Interactions“ and combines RNA-based approaches with biochemical, molecular-genetic and microbiological techniques to identify and characterize non-coding RNAs and their RNA-binding protein partners, that are important for virulence regulation. Stefanie Kampmeier is head of institute and medical lead of the central institute for hospital hygiene at the university hospital Würzburg as wellas leading a reasearch group for hosptial hygiene. Her research is interested in prevention of infections with multidrug-resistant organisms and focuses on identification of pathogen-specific as well as patient- and environment-associated factors to inform individualized and risk-adapted hygiene measures.
