The Executive Board

At the founding meeting on 25 March 2025 in Munich, the following women were elected to the board of the German Association of Female Infection Researchers:

• Second Deputy: Prof. Dr. Clarissa Prazeres da Costa
• First Secretary: Junior Professor Dr. Christina Karsten
• Second Secretary: Prof. Dr. Asisa Volz
• Treasurer: PD Dr. Michaela Petter

The Advisory Board

Our board members are supported by experienced and committed scientists who provide motivation as well as critical assessments. Some of them were already active on the board during the BMBF project phase and are very familiar with the mission and the association's members:

The Nestorian

Hardly anyone knows the system and structures of German science policy as well as Petra Dersch, former DFG Senator and member of the Leopoldina Academy of Sciences. With her experience and insider knowledge, she has already provided Infect-Net with many valuable insights during the BMBF project phase. As a senior member, she continues to make her knowledge and network available to the association.
